Welcome to the Municipal Function Section of the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) in Islamabad. The Municipal Function Section of DMA is headed by Assistant Director (MF) DMA, who leads our dedicated team in fulfilling these essential municipal functions.
To regulate and facilitate all municipal activities within the city of Islamabad. We are the driving force behind the smooth operation of essential services and the preservation of our city's unique character. Our commitment extends to every resident, business owner, and visitor who calls Islamabad home.
We regulate and issue licenses for kiosks, contributing to the diversity of businesses and services available in Islamabad.
We grant licenses for the temporary use of open spaces for various purposes, including outdoor seating, car parking, generator placement, and amusement activities.
We facilitate seasonal permissions for events and activities that enrich the city’s cultural life and entertainment options.
We manage auction sites for car parking and bus stands, ensuring organized and efficient public transportation services.
We oversee and manage iconic locations such as Daman-e-Koh, Shakar Parian, Centaurs, Pakistan Monuments, DSS/VSF G-5, G-9 Bus Stand, F-9 Bowling Club, Intra City Taxi Stand, and Melody Food Park G-6
We are responsible for the operation and management of shops established by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Melody Food Park and other locations in Islamabad
We regulate and oversee the operation and management of Dukancha (small shops) and sheds established by CDA in Islamabad.
We enforce compliance with municipal regulations by issuing notices and challans to those who do not adhere to our guidelines.
We deal with temporary permissions for the use of open spaces, including outdoor seating and other seasonal permissions, strictly on a temporary basis.
The establishment of the Annual Cattle Market in Islamabad during Eid-ul-Azha is under the responsibility of the Administrative Officer of the Municipal Function Section.
