Welcome to the Telecom Unit of the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), Islamabad. Working alongside the Manager Projects is the Assistant Director Telecom Unit, ensuring effective oversight and service delivery within the telecom sector.
Established in 2014, our mission is to provide streamlined services to the telecom sector while ensuring adherence to telecom policies and regulations. We serve as the custodian of the Authority's Telecom Policy, facilitate licenses and NOCs for a range of telecom services, and contribute to revenue generation from the telecom sector.
We regulate and issue licenses for optic fiber cable networks, ensuring efficient and reliable data transmission infrastructure.
We oversee and grant licenses for Base Transceiver Systems (BTS), which are crucial for mobile communications.
We regulate and provide licenses for cable TV operators and local loop operators, contributing to the diverse media landscape in Islamabad.
We facilitate the issuance of licenses and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for a wide range of telecom service providers, including mobile operators, local loop operators, and cable TV providers.
We are responsible for safeguarding and implementing the Authority’s Telecom Policy, ensuring that all telecom services within Islamabad comply with established guidelines.
We provide one-window services to the telecom sector, making it easier for telecom service providers to navigate regulatory processes and obtain necessary approvals.
